run_compute

Runs a compute: the pod and the patient-data API as one supervised unit.

The headless equivalent of the desktop orchestrator (ADR 0011). Builds a Compute from the pod configuration, starts it, and blocks until told to stop. The Docker image's entrypoint once the pod no longer embeds the API.

The two child mains live here rather than in bitfount.compute because they import the pod, which bitfount.compute must not.

Runs a compute from a config file and/or environment variables.

Arguments

  • path_to_config_yaml: Optional path to the pod config YAML. Passed to the pod child, which loads it itself; a spawned child cannot receive the loaded configuration, whose credentials are not picklable. The API child needs only the compute's identity.
